Cuban-American bass-baritone Michael Leyte-Vidal is a versatile vocalist whose talents span a range of genres. Described as having a "sonorous and sweet voice with velveteen edges," Michael showcases his vocal and dramatic skills in operatic works, solo concert performances, and theatrical productions. Recent highlights include his NYC debut as Capellio in I Capuleti e i Montecchi with Teatro Nuovo, performing the baritone solo in Beethoven's 9th Symphony with Longmont Symphony Orchestra, and presenting a recital with Lisette Oropesa as a Resident Artist with Bel Canto Boot Camp and Guild Hall of East Hampton.
In addition to his performance career, Michael is a dedicated educator with a passion for nurturing developing talent. His teaching philosophy reflects his diverse musical and artistic experience, focusing on enhancing students' technical vocal skills while also cultivating their dramatic expression and personal confidence. Michael has taught students of all ages and technical levels, from early childhood to professionals performing on stages across the country, including Broadway National Tours.
